Markfield Park Festival Bird-making Sculptures

To begin with, using templates and card we made small bird mobiles, and then, using a large wooden structure we covered it with feathers and coloured paper and hung it from the tree like a sculpture. The tree took a bird-like form, with wings stretched out underneath its branches and the head tied firmly to the trunk. It created a sceptical for all the kids who made it to enjoy in the children’s playground.

     

                                           

Crouch End Community Centre Storytelling Club

Using the thyme of Native American mythology we held a storytelling event. A small group of children used wooden poles and sheets to make tepees which we then painted on Native animal symbols. Then, decorated with feathers and face paint we sat down for snacks and stories.
